CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
Site selection

Today we sited a suitable location for a hand dug shallow well in this village and work is expected to begin tomorrow. Benya is a technician assigned to this community and will live in this village with the locals until the project is accomplished.
Excavation
March 2015
Excavation commenced as scheduled but it is progressing on slowly as the soil formation is quite hard.
We hit water at 17 feet and concluded excavation at 27 feet. This well has a water column of 10 feet and brick work on the well walls has commenced.
Construction
April 2015
Benya the technician managed to brick up the well walls and all masonry work has been concluded. The well is now covered to cure as we arrange for its installation.
Installation
April 2015
We managed to return to this village and successfully installed the well. The residents of Nyakatiti Aparacel are now enjoying clean and safe water that we have provided to them.
