Annual celebration and documentary screening

We invite you to RSVP today for our annual celebration on December 10th. While we typically come together in person to share stories from the field, this year we will take you on a virtual field trip to rural Uganda.

Since 2008, The Water Trust has empowered more than 600 poor communities in rural Uganda to provide their children clean, sustainable water and healthy, hygienic homes, helping more than 250,000 people in total.

This year, with the arrival of COVID-19, our work has only increased. We have continued to drill wells and expand water access to tens of thousands of more people, while also educating the public about COVID-19 and bringing critical supplies, including soap, disinfectant, and personal protective equipment to health centers and health workers.

At 6 p.m. EST on December 10th, we will screen a short documentary on life in rural Uganda and how communities are coming together to support one another at this challenging moment. You will meet community members and The Water Trust staff, and experience what life is like in rural Uganda. Like an in-person visit to this beautiful country, we promise it will be informative, entertaining, and inspiring.

After the screening, we will have a virtual question and answer session with some of the people from the film. The event will conclude at 7 p.m. EST.

As our annual celebration is virtual this year, tickets are free of charge, with donations suggested. You can donate here. Every donation helps bring clean, sustainable water to communities in need.

Details on attending this event will be provided to those who reserve a seat. We promise no video conference calls and a very flexible dress code.

Please contact us if you would like to learn more about how your corporation can join Goldman Sachs, Katten, and Sullivan & Cromwell in sponsoring this year's event.

Finally, we encourage you to share this unique opportunity to travel to Uganda with friends and colleagues (see links below.)
